Frontend Developer (Next.js) – Freelance / Part-Time

We are building a modern web platform with a Laravel backend and a Next.js frontend. We are looking for a skilled Frontend Developer who specializes in Next.js/React to continue development on the UI, implement new features, and ensure a smooth user experience.

Role Overview

As a Frontend Developer, you will focus on the Next.js frontend. You will work closely with our backend (Laravel) team to consume APIs, enhance the user interface, and deliver responsive, high-performing pages.

Responsibilities

• Continue development of an existing Next.js frontend project.
• Build reusable, scalable, and responsive UI components.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs from the Laravel backend.
• Ensure frontend performance, SEO optimization, and accessibility best practices.
• Fix UI bugs and improve user experience.
• Collaborate using Git version control and agile workflows.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Next.js and React.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS / Styled Components.
• Experience integrating APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Git and team collaboration.
• Ability to quickly understand and extend an existing codebase.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with authentication workflows (NextAuth, JWT, OAuth).
• Experience with Vercel or similar frontend deployment platforms.
• Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
